Best Kept Front Garden Competition
*** THERE WILL NOT BE A BEST KEPT GARDEN COMPETITION IN 2019 ***
Each July, when front gardens are at their best, teams of Parish Councillors spot the Best Kept Gardens in the patch that they have been allocated.
These allocated patches change each year so that there are no set criteria for a winning garden.
Some Parish Councillors may appreciate bedding plants, others beautiful turf!
Each Councillor offers forward a couple of addresses in their patch with some others that show that residents have worked hard to keep their garden and the Parish environment in good order.
Some patches do not bring forward the quantity of gardens so the 2 organising Councillors offer a list of between 5 and 8 gardens to the winner from last year.
These residents then come up with a 1st and 2nd. The organisers then send out letters of appreciation to residents that have well kept gardens.
