A.L.Ps Anlaby Litter Pickers

Fed up with the amount of litter lying around Anlaby and Anlaby Common? Why not join A.L.P.s. A.L.P.s is a voluntary association of like minded people willing to give at least two hours per month of their time (unpaid) to do something about it. Why not contact the Parish Council Clerk on 01482 657572 if you are willing to litter pick at least once a month for a minimum of two hours to help solve the problem.

Volunteers will be provided with:-

1 x tabard    |    1 x litter picking tool    |    1 x pop-up garden bag    |    1 x pair gloves and disposable gloves    |    1 x pack bin liners

A.L.P.s is a loose group of volunteers wanting to improve the local environment. It is a supplement to the work of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council which has a statutory duty to remove litter from public areas.

Anyone wishing to complain regarding public litter should contact E.R.Y.C. and not A.L.P.s which is working under the auspices of Anlaby with Anlaby Common Parish Council.

A.L.P.s volunteers undertake litter picking duties at their own risk. A.L.P.s does not take any responsibility for any loss, damage or injury occurring during voluntary litter picking duties.

Kind regards,
Cllr. Reg Almond - Chairman of the Parish Council

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council Streetscene Officer has asked that all black bags of rubbish collected by ALP's volunteers should be tied up and placed next to black public litter bins, not inside the bins. These will then be collected by the E.R.Y.C. Thank you.
