Anlaby with Anlaby Common Parish Council Meeting

We had a discussion at yesterday’s Parish Council Meeting about Anlaby Common with members from the local community who attended. They again raised concerns around whether the site would be used for housing development.

The Parish Council has always opposed any development of Anlaby Common and will continue to do so. The land is currently not zones for any sort of development in the East Riding of Yorkshire Local Plan meaning any application to build on the land would be refused outright.

We are aware, from meetings we held earlier this year which were attended by a good number of local residents, at our local MP Emma Hardy is aware of the issues and signalled support for the land not to be developed.

Additionally, we know that our local East Riding Ward Councillors are all opposed to development of the land.
